Thick platforms might not look sexy But for 2012, they are.
I remember, several years ago, when all of us fashion writers acted as if platform shoes were a returning trend. Since they haven't gone anywhere, it's difficult to continue calling them a "trend," and yet, it still seems as if they're worth mentioning. I think it's because of how thick soles really accentuate some of the heel trends that come and go. For example, for spring 2012, platform soles are the perfect complement to the ultra-high, chunky heels; and the wedge heels mentioned above.
RED SHOES.... My favorite
One of the nicest things about red shoes is that they don't need high heels or fancy embellishments to have an impact. These lovely, simple slingback pumps from Franco Sarto feature patent uppers, 2.25" heels, a classic design.
